BAND LIGHT (BBL)?
BroadBand Light (BBL), also known as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) or photo rejuvenation, delivers broad-spectrum visible and infrared light energy into the skin to regenerate skin cells and improve skin health. In addition to targeting redness, sun damage, freckles, age spots, rosacea and veins/vessels, as well as saggy, aging, crepey skin, BBL is the only device on the market that can actually alter your gene expression to help you achieve long-term youthful skin.
WHAT IS HALO
LASER?
Halo is an innovative hybrid fractional laser that can drastically improve sun damaged, dull, and aging skin without the downtime associated with traditional laser resurfacing procedures. Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that combines deeper dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal by delivering pulses of ablative and non-ablative energy to the skin. The ablative energy precisely removes damage in the skin’s upper layers while the non-ablative energy penetrates deeper to target specific vessels, deep dermal pigment and stimulate collagen production.
WHAT IS ALASTIN
SKIN NECTAR?
Regenerating Skin Nectar with TriHex technology is designed to help calm, nourish, and hydrate skin. Nectar helps to strengthen skin ahead of cosmetic treatments and works to improve the appearance of smoother, brighter, more youthful-looking skin afterward. It also contains Arnica and other ingredients to help calm the skin post treatments and to reduce recovery times.
THE TREATMENT
As Glow Getter is a laser procedure, a mini consultation is required prior to treatment to ensure skin is in good and healthy condition. Alastin Skin Nectar will be provided at time of purchase, for patients to begin using prior to their treatment day. On the day of your Glow Getter, you will have topical numbing cream applied to make sure the treatment as comfortable as possible. After your skin has been cleansed, a colourless water-based gel will be applied to the skin to enhance the efficacy of the sapphire plate. The BBL treatment involves passing the device over the skin using the established treatment parameters, taking approximately a total of 15 minutes. Upon completion of your BBL, your Halo treatment will begin. To ensure your face is treated evenly, the treatment area is measured using motion tracking technology. Many patients describe the Halo treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but generally comfortable. The Zimmer cooling fan will also be available during your Halo treatment to provide additional relief. Total Halo treatment time typically takes 20 minutes to 45 minutes. Alastin Skin Nectar will be applied to your skin, and you will be provided with an ice pack for your ride home.
