The treatment works by injecting small aliquots of Botox into the underarm region. For maximum comfort, the area will be numbed prior to injections. Results can be felt immediately and last approximately 3-6 months depending on the degree of sweating and can be affected by the individual’s age, sex and other factors.
Injections to treat hyperhidrosis are effective for patients who suffer from both acute and severe hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
