Microneedling w/Hyaluronic Acid

A non-invasive solution for facial rejuvenation

Micro needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a technique that involves the use of multiple small needles to form tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin. Although micro-needling sounds like it would be a an uncomfortable treatment,  its actually quite tolerable as we will topically numb the treatment areas prior to treatment.

The tiny needle punctures made using the Eclipse Micro-needling pen stimulate and accelerate the body’s healing process through the production of elastin, increasing collagen concentration, and boosting overall cell turnover. Micro-needling has been used in clinics for several years now and has become increasingly popular as a skin rejuvenation solution as its able to non-surgically improve the look and feel of the skin without disrupting normal activities or requiring extensive healing time.

  • Reduce signs of dry and ageing skin

  • Improve tone and textural issues

  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles

  • Reduces pores

Micro-needling Hyaluronic Acid(HA) allows for better, faster absorption of the HA by opening micro-channels in the skin and delivering the HA deeper below the surface. When used together, Hyaluronic Acid and Micro-needling result in increased volume and diminished visible signs of aging, revealing smoother and tighter skin.

Prior to your treatment with Skin Worthy Toronto, you will have a thorough consultation with one of our medical professionals. Here we will take time to address and assess your goals and expectations for the treatment and go over your medical history.

There may be redness and some tenderness on the first day that looks and feels similar to a sunburn. Occasionally some bruising may occur. The initial redness will usually subside by the second day, and some patients notice some swelling and a rough texture to the skin the day after treatment. By the third day the skin is usually healed but, some patients notice the rough sandpaper like texture of the skin may last for up to a week.

Although you may see the changes in you skin following treatment you will not likely have any major downtime. You would still want to avoid a vampire facial treatment immediately before any major events. Following treatment you can go back to your regular daily activities.

Preparing for your treatment can help to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of your procedure and that you have optimal results. As PRP is derived from your own blood its important to follow these pre treatment steps.

  • We recommend you avoid makeup for at least one day and up to three days after the procedure. Do not apply any makeup with a makeup brush, especially if the brush is not clean as there is open micro sounds in the skin.

  • Ensure you have clean bedding and pillowcases and avoid pets to reduce the chance of bacteria being spread into the micro needle areas.

  • A physical block sunscreen of at least SPF 30 should be used following the procedure. ALWAY use a sunscreen everyday—not only the days following your procedure—as part of your skincare routine to protect your skin from sun damage and premature aging.
