Hey everyone, Cass here!
Winter has officially came crashing down on us here in the GTA and if you're anything like me you have probably experienced dry, frizzy hair when the temps drop.
Don't worry though, I have found a hack that actually works and now i'm going to share it with all of you!
It's very simple: Apple Cider Vinegar + Water
Here's what you need:
- A spray bottle
- 1/2 Apple cider Vinegar
- 1/2 Water
This is the type of Apple Cider Vinegar I like to use. You can get it at your local grocery store or any health food store!
Best part? It's under $10!
Now all you need to do is mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water into your spray bottle and shake it up!
Spray the mixture onto clean, washed hair, focusing on the roots first.
Leave it on for 5-10 minutes then rinse!
This can be done once every week for general maintenance.
I promise you wont smell like apple cider vinegar after and you will be left with shiny smooth hair!
Here's why this works:
Apple cider vinegar has a pH level that is similar to what our scalp is supposed to have, and by rinsing with this mix on a weekly basis you help your scalp maintain a healthy pH balance. This is also a great way to naturally get rid of pesky winter dandruff!
Another thing to note is a lot of the hair products we use can be heavy and leave your hair feeling weighed down, so not only will this help balance the pH level it will help remove any product build up!
I've been using this hack for a few years now and I swear by it, winter dandruff and frizzy hair is a thing of the past for this girl!
Give it a try and let me know if it works for you!
