Get Under Our Skin

Do you ever look at someone and think:

"My, what great skin you have!"

At Skin Worthy our staff is very diverse, especially when it comes to our skin. We all have different skin types, tones, and textures. The one thing that brings us together is our love of ZO Skin Health products. Every member of the Skin Worthy team uses ZO Skin Health for their specific skin concerns and we want to let you in on our secrets. In a follow up edition of our recent Staff Expose we wanted to give you the down low on our skincare routines.


Megan:

My favourite "can't live without product" is the Daily Power Defence.  I think this is the most versatile product in the entire line and can be used in all skin care protocols and all skin types. It protects from oxidative stress, stimulates skin natural HA production, promotes DNA repair and improves cellular function! The DPD paired with a retinol and Forever Young BBL is a home run for anti-aging. 


The next product on my list to order is the Enzymatic Peel it speeds up exfoliation while hydrating and soothing the skin. I think it will be the perfect addition to my current routing to remove any dulling dead cells and improving the penetration of my other ZO products.



 

Carolina:


My favourite product that I can’t live without is the Dual Action Scrub and that’s because it really helps to dissolve all of the excess oil I have on my skin. I also use it as a spot treatment for the bigger breakouts that I get and it helps to dry out that specific pustule faster. The salicylic acid in this scrub makes it easy to exfoliate and prevent future breakouts.


A product that I would like to try in the future would a be a Vitamin C cream. I have never used a brightening product before and I would like to brighten up my skin tone and target some unwanted pigment. ZO Skin Health has an amazing line of brightening products such as C-Bright. Vitamin C gives a nice brightening glow and I would love to see those improvements for myself.




 

Nicole:


My "can't live without products" are all about keeping my acne under control. I can't live without my Acne Treatment Pads and my Dual Action Scrub. These two products keep my pores clean, my oily T-zone in check and they really help me minimize those stubborn hormonal breakouts that all of us hate so much. I am also a huge fan of the Enzymatic Peel as it's a nice at-home pick me up treatment. I love to see a reaction when I use a product and the Enzymatic Peel does just that! It's like a moisturizing chemical peel in a bottle, it's perfect for when you're prepping for an event or just want some of that day to day dullness to slough off. This product will peel away dull skin and leave you with a radiant glow.


In the future I would like to try the Instant Pore Refiner as I struggle with large pores and would love to find a product that could minimize oil production and congestion. It also provides some much needed exfoliation with a matte finish.



 

Naanafya:


My favorite products include the Get Skin Ready Kit, Daily Power Defense and Growth Factor Serum. I love the combination of all 3 products as it leaves my skin feeling/looking smooth, soft, even in tone and dewy.


A product you have been looking to try is the Acne Treatment Pads as I have an extremely oily T-zone and would love to see how this product treats those problematic areas for me.



 

Cody:

Having seborrheic dermatitis, the Dual Action Scrub is my number one favorite product. The alpha and beta hydroxy acids chemically work to remove the excess keratin and skin cells. Combined with the mechanical exfoliation of the polyethylene micro-beads and PLA microspheres, Dual Action Scrub makes my skin feel so clean and look so bright. 


I would like to try the Advanced Radical Night Repair - a heavy 1% retinol that penetrates deep to the dermis.  To get ready for spring I want to maximize my skin cell turnover and get a major glow. I’ll be honest, I’m nervous of the retinol reaction but strangely excited at the same time. This versatile product can be used as both a night cream or to perform an at home peel. I’ll show the five day pulse of the at home Stimulator Peel on Instagram this March. 



 

Barb:


My favourite skin care product is the Colorescience Even Up Skin Perfector.  I don’t like wearing foundation, concealer or powders. They clog pores and can be acne causing. They typically make my skin look more dry and aged and finally the ingredients found in these cosmetics offer no benefit to our skin.  The reason I love the Colorecience Even up is that it is a “smart makeup”. It offers light coverage to even tone and blur skin discolourations. It is  mineral based and  offers a protection of SPF 50 against UVA and UVB damage. Finally the best part of it is while it’s being worn the products skin brightening complex will actually help improve brown spots and skin discolourations.  I am a true believer that the less makeup one wears the better their skin health will be. This product offers benefit while making your skin look it’s best, and it’s most importantly it’s backed by scientific studies which most drug store and designer makeup brands aren’t.  I have almost tried the whole line of ZO Skin health products that are appropriate for my skin, however the one I am excited to start next is the ZO C-Bright serum. Vitamin C is an incredible antioxidant for the skin. It can remove surface pigment and prevent the formation of new pigment. It can also help minimize the appearance of fine lines and brighten the skin. What I think sets the C-Bright serum apart from any other Vitamin C on the market is that it is stabilized and therefore highly potent. The Vitamin C is encapsulated and will only be activated by the water in your skin once it is rubbed in. Other serums on the market are either stabilized by water or oil which makes the vitamin oxidize each time the cap of the bottle is opened, making the vitamin c weaker and weaker with each use.
